Humankind has not woven the web of life.  We are but one thread within it.  Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.  All things are bound together. All things connect.    ~Chief Seattle, letter to President Franklin Pierce

Twixt is a collaboration with media artist Majid Bagheri and dancers Lindsey Ridgway and Philippa Myler. The movement vocabulary is meant to resemble spiderwebs- involving the dancers in a constant cycle of weaving, threading, and co-creating spatial structures using their own and eachothers’ bodies.  The work strives to draw attention to our delicate place within the web of life.

Twixt was presented (without media) on April 29th, 2011 as part of International Dance Day Celebrations at the Dance Centre in Vancouver.

It was also developed into a film in 2011.
